No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences

Case Study

Most toughest job for today's parents is to bring up their kids in this fast in fact super fast forward society. Its not less than a nightmare if their kids are hyperactive. One such story is narrated below:

Daniel 10 years old boy. His delivery was normal, milestones were reported normal. Initial years were filled up with playing and breaking off toys, crawling here and there, cheerfulness, mischievousness etc. Till 5 years, parents thought its normal

"Bachche to shaitani hi karenge"... "But gradually along with his age his behavioural and activities became worrisome. He couldn't sit at one place for few minutes. If this child came to your house it would be turned into a mess within few hours of his arrival. He jumps from one seat to another."

He couldn't sit at one place for few minutes. If this child came to your house it would be turned into a mess within few hours of his arrival. He jumps from one seat to another. First sitting on sofa, then shifting his seat gradually taking toys, show pieces. Scrutinizing them and may break it in curiosity and then trying to fix it. Leaving that midway rushing  to another room chasing some another stuff.

When he started going school things didn't change. He couldn't seat without moving at his place. Restlessness was so marked that even teacher couldn't focus on teaching and was frequently diverted by his mischievousness. Pinching, taking away others pencils, eraser, peeping out of window again and again. Parents were fed up with all these complaints from school and society.

But he was very good in drawing, immediate catching power. Very sensitive to criticism.
Doctor's observation :

Later on he was brought to us.After listening to his details and confirmation by psychological assessment we came to the conclusion that he met the criteria of ADHD. His medicine was started.

Parents were counselled as they were afraid of starting medicine at this young age. After 2-3 months his concentration span gradually increased. Later he was advised counseling along with medicines. All these efforts helped him tackle his energy levels and focus on right thing and he excelled his academics.
